The Village has launched a much-needed bus service that will increase the number of destinations that can be reached via public transit throughout Palmetto Bay and surrounding areas. It is also designed to connect with Miami-Dade Transit routes and the very popular busway.

Just in case you're wondering, IBUS is a play on words to reflect the many beautiful ibis that frequent Village parks and neighborhoods. The blue and white buses feature an impressive drawing of this native bird.

The IBUS is air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible and bike rack equipped. Hours of service are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please review the route map by clicking here. If you are interested in traveling on the "A" Route (northern route), please click here for times and pick-up locations. For the "B" Route (southern route), please click here for the route map and then click here for the times and pick-up locations.

The bus service will also provide public transportation to public schools and parks located within the boundaries of the Village. There will even be a "shopper's shuttle" to the Falls shopping center. There is no fare when using the IBUS. However, riders making connections to the Miami-Dade Transit line are expected to pay the appropriate fares at the time of transfer.
